立春延生消災普佛吉祥勝會

2021年2月7日，本山為全球信徒舉辦立春消災普佛。法會設在新加坡天竺山毗盧寺。由於全球新冠疫情期間，配合新加坡衛生局在宗教場所的規定，是日早上只限50位四衆弟子進入大殿。通過視頻，全球佛弟子超過2000人以上參加消災普佛。本山住持，世佛僧會首席副會長兼秘書長慧雄師父禮請韓國曹溪宗長老，世佛僧會副會長義玄長老佛法開示，談述：全球疫情使人類生活在家裏或於固定的地方隔離，當然受到限制的生活，大家都不自在。唯有聼起聯合國呼籲全球帶口罩、洗手、隔離才有辦法使疫情不受到病毒的感染。全球三大語系的僧伽不斷為全人類誦經祈福，我本身最近忙著為桐華寺舉辦寺院紀念日舉行一系列佛教研討以及其它活動。

我們曹溪宗最高領導的僧統以及總務院長，韓國各大寺院的長老都出席了千年古刹桐華寺的活動。因爲這項活動是要啓發菩薩僧伽發菩提心，行菩薩道的信念。通過研討，談論如何更能有信念及信心發揚菩薩道，發揮僧團菩提道的精神。

本山住持，世佛僧會首席副會長兼秘書長通過視頻向全球佛教徒開示：新的一年，大家都有新的希望。通過新的一年為自己的想法理念向諸佛菩薩祈願。生懺悔、清净心、拜願普佛感召諸佛菩薩悲願的功德，人間衆生祈願以及悲願功德相應一定能心想事成。自從唐代，大乘漢傳佛教跟民間及科學有相應。一年有四季，春夏秋冬，四季内有24節氣轉變日子隨無常的變化，同時有24位護法諸天來保護全宇宙人類，一切衆生。只要衆生内心有善念，相信因果，孝敬父母、恭敬三寶、對一切衆生不敢起惡念、傷害的行爲，護法龍天全年都在護持著所有人類有積善倫理道德的衆生。由於人類在科技發達，只重視物質而忽略倫理道德及信仰三寶、相信因果。

如地藏經云：所謂惡毒鬼王、多惡鬼王、大諍鬼王、白虎鬼王、血虎鬼王等鬼王的眷屬看到人類只有追求物質上的文明而忽略孝敬父母、净化身心，不相信因果以及沒有信仰的行爲、顛倒是非、法說非法、非法説法、大妄語行爲、社會上虛榮心看上不看下、失去倫理道德，鬼道的衆生就不護持人類，在宇宙法界灑毒藥。

唯有人間衆生心有善念，護法鬼神龍天才能護持人類。我們當今全球面臨傳染病毒已蔓延到每個角落使我們生活恐懼不安。通過佛陀所教理的八萬四千法門歸納兩大：延生、往生大法門。延生普佛乃是修學佛法，通過懺悔改造包容、付出、承擔、用佛法的智慧思維，實現每個佛教徒在人間修學佛法，創建人間為净土。

大殿在三寶的藥師壇城會上，八十八佛會上贊頌功德。本山住持帶領四衆唱誦梵唄，莊嚴嘹亮，懺悔拜願，莊嚴無比。

On 7th February,2021, the temple held the Spring Auspicious Blessing Prayer Assembly for Buddhist devotees around the world. The blessing prayer was conducted at Beeh Low See Temple Singapore. In light of the outbreak of global epidemic, all religions organizations are to comply and follow with the regulations and social distancing measures by the Singapore Authority, only 50 devotees were allowed to enter the main hall.

Through the prayer online, more than 2,000 Buddhist devotees around the world participated in this blessing prayer ritual.

The sanghas of the three major sects in the world constantly chant and pray for all mankind. Recently, I myself have been busy holding a series of Buddhist seminars and other activities at for the temple anniversary at Donghwasa Monastery.

The Supreme Sangha Leader of the Jogye Order Sect, the General Bureau of Jogye Order and the Sangha Elders of major Korean monasteries attended the activities of the thousand-year-old ancient temple Donghwasa Monastery. This activity is to inspire and consolidate the Sangha’s belief in bodhicitta and the way of bodhisattva. Through the discussion and seminar, talk on how to have more faith and confidence to blossom and arise the bodhisattva way and bring out the spirit of the bodhisattva.

The abbot,the chief vice-President cum secretary-general of the World Buddhist Sangha Council delivered Dharma speech to the Buddhists around the world via video, saying that in the new year, everyone has new hope. Praying diligently to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. We must sincerely repent and inspire the merits of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas through prayers. The prayers of all living beings and the merits will surely be fulfilled.

Since the Tang Dynasty, Mahayana Buddhism has corresponded with local society and science. There are four seasons in a year, spring, summer, autumn and winter. There are 24 solar terms in the four seasons, and the days change with impermanence. At the same time, there are 24 guardians Devas to protect the entire universe of human beings and all sentient beings. As long as sentient beings cultivate good thoughts in their hearts, believe in cause and effect, respect their parents, respect the Three Jewels Gems (ie Buddha, Dharma & Sangha), and do not harvest evil thoughts on all sentient beings, protect all sentient beings with good ethics and morality throughout the year.

Due to the advanced science and technology of mankind, human beings only values ​​material and ignores ethics, do not belief in Three Jewels Gems and the law of cause & effect.

In the Scriptures of Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva, the so-called vicious ghost king, the evil ghost king, the big evil ghost king, the white tiger ghost king, the blood tiger ghost king and other ghost kings see all human beings only pursue material civilization and neglect to honor their parents, no filial nor devotion and did not practice and purify body and mind and not believe in cause and effect .Not believe the truth of Buddhism and the cycle of Samsara, which is the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth. This means that people will experience suffering many times over. And the loss of ethics and morality, the ghostly beings will not protect human beings instead they will sprinkle toxins in the universe.

Bad habits cause karma, good habits caused good fruits, and whether habits are good or bad, beings are all influenced by environment.

Only human beings have good intentions, the guardian Devas and ghosts kings will protect mankind. We now facing the global covid epidemic. The virus has spread to every corner, making our lives fearful and uneasy.

The Lord Buddha shows billions of convenient ways to help and cultivate all beings in the Saha World. The eighty-four thousand Dharma methods taught by the Buddha can be summarized into two categories: the prayer of longevity and transference merits to the deceased. The Lord Buddha taught that human beings are each born an infinite number of times, unless they achieve Nirvana. The prayer of longevity, one should practice and sincerely repentance, tolerant, giving, commitment, practice compassion and wisdom and create a pure land.

The Bhaisaijyaguru Buddha mandala is located in the main Dharma hall, and chant of eighty-eight Buddhas Sutra. The abbot led all devotees to chant and the prayer rites are grand and solemn.
